1,000 Bibles given out to Prisoners Sept. 09 Guadalajara, Mexico

Dear Partners and Friends,

We are so grateful for all of you!  Partners you helped make it happen for so many that never would have had a chance to receive God’s Word.  We journeyed back to Guadalajara in September with this gift for the prisoners.  By God’s grace and favor we passed through all the check points and border crossings without problems.  When we reflect upon the conditions in the prison, it brings such joy to our hearts to know that together we are having an impact among these people. Every cult and religious group known to Mexico has such a strong representation in this prison.  We know that without God’s word the people will never grow and come to understand intimacy with the Father.  We are actively involved in teaching the new believers.  Many of our brothers and sisters In Christ, were coming for meetings and classes without the Word of God.  Now, when we conduct classes or special meetings each person will be able to follow along and learn.

We did it again!  Thank you partners!  We were able to secure a local meeting place and hold crusades on Saturday 3/14/09 for two services.  Each service was very well attended.  We actually had standing room only for the last service Saturday night and some people were turned away for lack of space in the building for the amount of people that responded.  We witnessed the awesome power of the Holy Spirit bring conviction during these meetings.  Seventy-eight people received Christ during these services.  Praise the Lord!  Everyone of you helped to make this possible for these that were lost to hear the message of Hope in Jesus!  We are so honored to labor together with you in extending the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus!  On behalf of all that received and were touched in these meetings we say...Thank You!  You truly are Kingdom Builders and not focused upon the circumstances of our day!

Over 1,500 Spanish Bibles distributed to the prisoners in Guadalajara, Mexico 3/09

The Word of God is now in the hands and hearts of prisoners in Mexico! 

Dear Partners and Friends,

The end of March our team conducted crusades in Lazro Cardenas. Five presentations in two days with thousands in attendance, the harvest nets overflowed.

The Army of God is on the advance attacking the Drug problems in Mexico and the killings of  innocent people through the faithful witness of Christ!

Every week Jerry and the team have been going to share with the new students at the prison that are part of Fire From Heaven Bible School there.  Many of the prisoners will come and listen to what is being taught, but they are not enrolled as students.  Currently, there are over 55 faithful students that are learning the principles that Jesus taught us about being a disciple and how to make disciples.  The men are so hungry and they are growing every week.

Every week Jerry and the team have been going to share with the new students at the prison that are part of Fire From Heaven Bible School there.  Many of the prisoners will come and listen to what is being taught, but they are not enrolled as students.  Currently, there are over 55 faithful students that are learning the principles that Jesus taught us about being a disciple and how to make disciples.  The men are so hungry and they are growing every week.  We receive testimonies every week.  Last week, one of the prisoners that is functioning as the pastor from within the prison shared his testimony.  This man is a prisoner himself and he has been behind bars for over 8 years serving a sentence for drug trafficking and possession.  The pastor shared that he has five children and a wife that are eagerly awaiting his release over the next two months. He pulled out a photo in his bible and asked me to look very carefully at it.  looking at the photo, he told me that the man in that photo is dead.  The man in the photo was very thin and looked nothing like anyone that  I saw.  He then proceeded to tell me that the photo was a picture of him over 8 years ago before he received Jesus.  Wow! What a changed man by the power of Christ!  This same man gave bold witness to the other prisoners that the same grace and mercy he received was available for them if they will only have faith and receive the finished work of Jesus as payment for their sins.  We have opportunity to pray for the sick often and we are seeing many receive healing as well.  Just last week, the leader of the Christian outreach efforts in the prison reported to our team that many of the modules in our area of ministry are suffering from a lack of witness for Christ.  We reviewed the information and discovered that in our area of ministry alone, there are over 14 modules.  Each module contains 200-600 men.  In some modules, there are only 2 or 4 professing Christians.  Many of these modules are off limits to visitors in the free world, like our team.  This is why it is so important for us to empower the men in the Church and in the bible school with the Word of God.  Up until March 09, many of the men did not even have a bible to study.  Now, we are preparing future leaders and helping them to understand what they have in Christ and how to go forth and make disciples and help to evangelize and reach out to the men in these restricted areas where they have open access.  Thank you for your sincere prayers for these triumphant and victorious new Christians that are learning and growing every week in Christ.

Michelle and I would like to give you some praise reports on this mission since our last news to you.  First, the bible school we asked you to pray about starting in the prison is a reality now.  Praise the Lord!  We experienced  great favor with all the prison officials and a team of teachers has been formed by the leading of the Holy Spirit.  We held our open enrollment class last week and our first day of class in the prison Wednesday of this week.  We had over 70 students enrolled.  Wow!  What a huge response!  We are overwhelmed at what the Lord is doing.  We just purchased all the notebooks and supplies for all the students this week.  Partners,  you helped to make this happen for those that can't  repay you.  You are helping many hear and receive the Word of Faith that otherwise they would never hear.  Thank you!  Second,  our bible school in the city of Guadalajara is now in session for this semester and we have 50 students.  Praise the Lord!  Together, we will see leaders raised up that will take the Gospel to the Nations and touch this world for Jesus!

How will they hear without a preacher?

Thank you partners for helping the people here to have an opportunity to hear the Good News through your faithful prayer and support  of  this missions ministry!

We reported to you in our last newsletter, plans to adopt 300 to 400 prisoners for Christmas.  Together we were able to accomplish the distribution of  600 hot meals, and over 300 hygiene bags filled with soap, shampoo, toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste, Christian tracks, etc.  In the women’s prison one module had invited 21 non-believers to attend the Church service in order to receive a gift bag after the service.  After the ministry of the Word of the Lord, 14 non-believers of the 21 invited received Christ with tears streaming down their faces.  So many of these women were so touched by your gift of love and concern for their personal needs and asked that we please thank you for your generosity!  THANK YOU!  This same report was repeated among all the men as we distributed the gifts.  Many of the men received Jesus and were prayed for in the services  prior to receiving food and gifts.  Please pray for us as we are preparing to possibly begin a Bible School at the prison in the near future.

Michelle and I are so honored to share with you the June 2008 graduating class of Fire From Heaven Bible Institute (Guadalajara, Mexico). These students are just a sampling of the many hungry Christians that are being touched through this mission. Amada, Aurora, Blanca, and Elvia have something to be very proud of! Two years of hard work and training have brought them to this point and it is only the beginning! May they go forth mightily and serve faithfully the one who saved them!
